Obituary Lorraine E. Sepich, 86, of Washington, IL, died at 1:31 am Friday, July 8, 2011 at Washington Christian Village in Washington surrounded by her family. Born on November 7, 1924 in Peoria, IL to Frank and Marie Wys Opper, she married John Joseph Sepich on October 12, 1946 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2003 in Peoria. Surviving are her son, Stephen (Susan) Sepich of Washington, IL, 2 grandsons, James (Elysia) Sepich of Bethalto, IL, and Allen Sepich of Washington, IL, 1 great-grandson, Ayden Sepich, and 2 brothers, Lloyd (Doris) Opper of Tucson, AZ and Loren (Karon) Opper of Peoria, IL. She was preceded in death by her son, Jim, in 1967, 1 sister, Joyce Conway, and 1 niece, Debbie Opper. Lorraine worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. E.J. Giunta, and in accounts payable for P.A. Bergners and McKesson & Robbins. She also was a Secretary for St. Patrick Church and a bookkeeper for the church, school, and lunch program retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Washington since 1948, where she belonged to the Women's Guild. Lorraine also served as Secretary of the Washington Community High School Booster Club for 2 years. A funeral mass for Lorraine will be at 11 am Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at St. Patrick Church in Washington. Msgr. John Prendergast will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at the church. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
