Obituary PEORIAa"Loretta M. Hartman, 70, of Peoria, died at 11:55 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at her residence. Born on April 20, 1937 in Robinson, IL, to Orvil Oris and Charlotte Pansy Withiam Waldrop, she married Lyman "Bud" Melton on August 8, 1953. She later married Pat Hartman, and he preceded her in death. Surviving are 2 sons, Jack (Faye) Melton of Washington and Jeff Melton of Vincennes, IN; 2 sisters, Irene Stevens of Peoria, IL and Carol Waldrop of Pekin, IL; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter, Jane Rotholtz, 1 grandson, Joshua, 1 brother and 1 sister. Loretta retired as a foreman at Champion Furnace Company in Peoria Heights. She was a very active member of the Lord's Table Church of God in Bartonville. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 7, 2008 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Pastors Ron Simmons and Lucky Meadows will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3-5 PM on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
