Obituary Lorene M. (Fischer) Wiegand, 85, of Washington, died at 9:20 AM, on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka. She was born on March 11, 1921 in Roanoke, Illinois to Elias August and Lydia Schlupp Fischer. She married William J. Wiegand on August 9, 1978 in Washington, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2003. Surviving are 2 stepsons, David (Mary) Wiegand and Kenneth (Susan) Wiegand, both of Washington; 3 stepdaughters, Barbara Boll of Glendale Heights, Marjorie (Raymond) Feught of Gridley,and Sally (Dennis) DeGroot of Masaryktown, FL; 5 brothers, Lyle (Lillian) Fischer of Ft. Scott, KS, Robert (Nilah) Fischer and Jim (Joann) Fischer, both of Morton, LeRoy (Rose) Fischer and Eli Fischer, both of Washington; 2 sisters, Arlette (Walter) Fehr of Roanoke, and Wilma Teubel of Bloomfield, IA; 19 step-grandchildren and many step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Fred Fischer. She had worked in the kitchen at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka for many years. She was a member of the Washington Apostolic Christian Church, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2006. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7PM on Friday, August 4, 2006 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.
