Obituary Lorene V. Rollings, 89, of Washington, IL, died at 1:10 am Monday, February 11, 2013 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL. Born on July 27, 1923 in East St. Louis, IL, to Coleman and Bertha Harris Mattingly, she married Max M. Rollings on September 3, 1942 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2001 in Peoria, IL. Surviving are 3 sons, Jim (Nancy) Rollings of Ottawa, IL, Mike (Kathy) Rollings of DeWitt, IA, and Perry (Tori) Rollings of Metamora, IL, 1 daughter, Penny Rollings of Chicago, IL, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Challys Berg, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 step-sister. Lorene operated a daycare in her home for many years. She was a member of Dayton Avenue Baptist Church in Peoria and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Washington, teaching Sunday School at both churches for many years. She also enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family. Services for Lorene will be at 10 am Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Her son, Mike Rollings and Pastor Sonny Mooney will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
