Obituary Lola Nadine "Deanie" Schofield, 82, of East Peoria passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Reflections Memory Care in Washington. Nadine was born May 2, 1932 in Covington, TN to Herbert and Irma McNatt Jordan. She married Dale Schofield on July 25, 1953 in Peoria. Nadine was a loving wife to Dale for 61 years, mother of Nanette (the late Richard) Lynn of Indianapolis, IN, Jeffery (Maura) Schofield of Oak Park, IL, and Todd (Lisa) Schofield of East Peoria, IL, and grandmother to Alex and Danielle Lynn, Tyler, Lauren, and Alison Schofield, and Taylor and Tanner Schofield. She is also survived by her brother Levon. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, her parents, her sister Hazel, and her brother Joseph. She was a graduate of Brighton High School in Covington, TN class of 1950 where she was involved in many school activities including singing in the choir and cheerleading. During the Korean War conflict, she volunteered with the USO playing the piano and entertaining the service men in Memphis TN, where she met a handsome young Marine. Nadine held various jobs during her lifetime, but her most fulfilling job was working as a preschool teacher in Texas. Nadine's passion in life revolved around love and dedication to her husband, children, grandchildren, family members, and friends. She enjoyed watching Chicago sports, and was a devoted and somewhat frustrated Cubs fan. Her strong faith, her love of music, her beautiful smile, and her joy of life will be missed. A memorial service for Nadine will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Chaplain Ron Little will officiate. There will be a memorial visitation prior to the service, from 1:00PM-3:00PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date.
