Obituary Lois M. Nethery, 72, of Hanna City, passed away at 8:08 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born June 26, 1944 in Valparaiso, IN to Clifford and Bernice Grieger Gray. She married John "Jack" Nethery in Valparaiso, IN on Sept. 27, 1966. He survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Angela (and Michael) DuBois of Shorewood, John (and Allegra) Nethery of Chicago; 3 grandchildren, Adam (and Ashleigh) Linder, Shane Taylor, Savannah DuBois; and 3 great-grandchildren, Lileigh, Kyleigh, Bayleigh Linder. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Dawn Marie Nethery; and 4 sisters, Ruth, Norma, Mary and Joan. Lois was a homemaker and worked at Super Liquors in Peoria before retiring. She also formerly helped with child care at the YMCA in Valparaiso, IN. "The family requests that instead of flowers, friends consider making a small gift to the YMCA in Valparaiso, IN in Lois' name." Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington with further visitation on Monday, Aug. 29th from 1 to 3 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery Chapel in Valparaiso, IN with entombment to follow.
