Lois M. Gorman, 96, of Washington, passed away at 9:02pm at River Crossing East Peoria.

She was born January 14, 1927 in Peoria to the late Walter and Eunice Smith Short. She married Howard L. Gorman, Sr. on November 20, 1954; he preceded her in death in 1988.

She is survived by her son, Howard; step daughter, Susan Pierce; grandchildren, Terry Hughes, Jeremiah Gorman, and Sarah Gorman; and her great-grandchildren, Genevieve, Madalynn, and Hadley.

She was also preceded in death by her brother.

Lois worked in the Washington area for several years as a waitress. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, June 3, 2023 at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for a fund for her great-grandchildren.
