Linda Whitehurst, 83, of Metamora, passed away peacefully at 12:40 pm Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 5, 1937 in Bloomington, IL to the late Chester P. and Helen Lott Kinne. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Chacto. Surviving are three children, Kim Whitehurst, Rob (Cathy) Whitehurst; Brian (Nina) Whitehurst; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Viola Huber; and lifelong friends and caregivers, Debbie, Jan and Angie. Linda spent her entire lifetime caring for others. She worked as an RN, retiring from Snyder Village in Metamora where she loved to work. She enjoyed golfing, sewing, and especially knitting. She was a member of the East Peoria First United Methodist Church and choir where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Cremation has been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church.
