Linda Steiger, 83, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at her home.

She was born May 9, 1941 in Tamms, IL to Hamby "Bill" and Nell Etherton Haney.  She married Raymond Ellis Sr., he preceded her in death.  She later married Roger D. Steiger in Pekin on July 1, 1977.  He preceded her in death on June 3, 2008.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Norman Steiger; step-daughter, Bobbie Steiger; and sister, Martha Burd.

Surviving are her son, Raymond (Loretta) Ellis; daughter, Nancy (Niles) Godsey; step-daughter-in-law, Lisa Steiger; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and brother, Hamby Haney Jr.

Linda worked as a banquet server for many years.  She enjoyed going to the casino, shopping, traveling and especially spending time with her family and friends.  She will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, November 12th at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  Visitation will be from 10am to Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
