Linda Knight, 73, of Washington, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 surrounded by her family.

She was born November 15, 1952 in Peoria to Bill and Freda Scrimager.  She married Thomas Knight in West Peoria on April 24, 1976.  He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Aron (Kathleen) Knight, Jeff (Cheri) Knight; four grandchildren, Jackson, Marlowe, Joshua, Ayden; her furbaby, Wrigley; one sister, Luretha Altig; one brother, Richard (Sandra) Richardson; and her mother-in-law, Carol Knight.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Justin.

Linda worked as a bookkeeper at Sunnyland Bank for many years before retiring.  She had a talent for decorating her home, painting and crocheting. She enjoyed fishing and working jigsaw puzzles, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.  She will be dearly missed!

Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded.  There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
