Obituary Linda J. Allgaier, 59, of East Peoria, died at 9:55 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at her home with her family by her side. Born on November 12, 1948 in Peoria, IL to James P. and Martha J. Schultz Simmons, she married Ronald W. Allgaier on January 23, 1971 in Bartonville, IL; he survives. Also surviving are her son, Ryan P. Allgaier and her daughter, Jennifer L. Allgaier, both of East Peoria; 2 brothers, James (Margaret) Simmons and David (Kathi) Simmons, both of Peoria Heights; and 2 sisters, Patricia (Rick) Downard of Peoria and Pamela (Larry) Kelch of Peoria Heights. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Linda had worked as a receptionist for Commercial National Realty in Peoria and for Caterpillar in Morton for 8 years. She most recently did temp work for Manpower in Peoria. Linda was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria, where she was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Small Groups bible study and the choir. Linda loved and lived for her family and for the Lord. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 14 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria. The Rev. Joseph Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Sunday, July 13 at the church. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Monday from 9-10 AM at the church. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Arrangements are by Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria.
