Obituary CONROE, TX- Lillian Ruth Markum, 90, of Conroe, TX, formerly of East Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 7:15A.M at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Lillian was born on January 2, 1925 in Broughton to William and Lucille Koontz Parsons. She married Paul Markum Sr. in Cape Girardeau, MO. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Paul (Patricia) Markum Jr. of Conroe, TX; three grandchildren, Billy (Annie) Markum, Bret (Angie) Markum and Bridget (Cesar) Hernandez; eight great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joy Dalton of Rockford. Lillian began her working career at Bemis Bag Company in Peoria for 18 years. She then worked as a homemaker, devoted to raising her family. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in East Peoria for many years. Memorial contributions may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. There will be no services.
