Leslie Ellen Menz ,72, formerly of Washington, IL peacefully passed in the comfort of her home in East Peoria, IL.

The sweet, sassy, menace to society who always had a smile and a smart aleck retort is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia M. Lohnes and father, Gene A. Menz. She is survived by her niece, Allisen K. (Eric) DuBois; and three great nephews, Oliver, Rowan and Corbin DuBois. Also surviving, her nephew, Matthew T. Astle.

Leslie always had a kind word and off tune song to sing. She contained a larger than life personality in a tiny package. You loved her or she made you shake your head, sometimes both. Either way, she left  an impact to whoever she came across. She had a whip crack wit that always kept you on your toes and a laugh that you could hear across a whole music festival. Leslie worked as the librarian for OSF college of nursing for a number of years, she left a lasting impression on every student she was fortunate enough to interact with.  She danced like her life depended on it and she loved so fiercely.  She had a ferocious determination to live her way and she did.

An open house Celebration of life will be held May 10th, 2025  At Trefzgers Trailside Event Center 4416 N Prospect Rd, Peoria Heights, IL from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m.
