Obituary LeRoy Furnace, 93, of Peoria, passed away at 9:55 am, Friday, June 13, 2014 at UnityPoint Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. LeRoy was born January 4, 1921 in Sycamore, IL to Ulysses and Anna Furnace. He married Dorothy Roseno on July 2, 1951 in Chicago. She preceded him in death December 2011. Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Furnace of Normal, Alice (Charles) Tabacchi of Granger, IN, and Diana Furnace of Peoria Heights, one sister Madolyn Williams of Redlands, CA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward. He was a disabled U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He worked for AT&T for 42 years. In honor of LeRoy's wishes, there will be no services and cremation rites will be accorded. Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory, Washington is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
