Obituary EAST PEORIA-Leo F. Grigsby, 85, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 2:35 PM Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center of East Peoria. Born on December 3, 1927 in Peoria, IL to the late Olladene Grigsby, he married Juanita J. Short on September 7, 1948 in Princeville, IL. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2011 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Grigsby, and great- granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Ehrgott. Surviving are 1 daughter, Kathryn (Herb) Ayres and 1 son, Steven (Sherrie) Grigsby, both of Washington; 4 grandchildren, Keith (Sara) McMillian, Michelle (Patrick) Crumrine, Colleen (Luke) Ehrgott, and Joseph Grigsby; and 4 great-grandchildren, Alyssa Crumrine, Brett Crumrine, Maycee Ehrgott, and Madden Ehrgott. Leo worked for J.D. Rozelle Dairy in Peoria. After graduating from Browns Peoria School of Business, he was hired in at CILCO and later retired with 35 years of service as a purchasing agent. Leo was a member of Wilmor Sportsmans Club in Morton, the Lions Club, Transportation Club of Peoria and the Jaycees. He was a diehard St. Louis Cardinals and Bradley Braves fan. Leo was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Funeral Services will be at 1 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Pastor Tom Goodell will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 AM - 1PM at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery.
