Obituary Morton- Lela Mae Liescheidt-Gilliand, 74 of Morton, passed away at 6:55 PM on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Washington Christian Village in Washington. Lela was born on November 21, 1938 in Kilbourne, IL to the late Paul and Grace Bahls Dew. Surviving are three sons and one daughter, Scott (Janice) Liescheidt of Mapleton, Martin (Rebecca) Liescheidt of Washington, Susan Allmon of East Peoria and Christopher Liescheidt (Kathy Roger) of Peoria, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, a brother, Howard (Leveda) Dew of Osage Beach, MO. Lela was preceded in death by a sister Yvonne Combs and a grandson Michael Liescheidt. Lela worked in the Secretary of State's office in Springfield for over 20 years. She also worked for the Hilton Hotel in Peoria. Honoring Lela's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of her life will take place at 6:00 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Pastor James Gorby will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until the time of service.
