Kristina Jo (Kelly) Wilson, 30, of Denver, CO formerly of Morton, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at her residence in Denver.

She was born December 2, 1993 in Kansas City, MO to Christopher Shannon and Betty Jo (Holthus) Kelly.

Surviving are her mother; sister, Shea; brother, Seth; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Sean.

Kristina worked as a senior accounting professional at the University of Illinois and most recently at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Kristina dearly loved her fur babies and loved sharing their little shenanigans as she would say.

Kristina loved to travel and the majesty and beauty of nature wherever her travels took her. Being in nature was one of her greatest joys, she loved hiking to explore natures beauty and camping under the stars. Kristina had a love for music, especially bluegrass; never missing an opportunity to attend a music festival.

Cremation has been accorded. A private service will be held at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kristina's memory to the Big City Mountaineers (www.bigcitymountaineers.org ). This organization provides transformative experiences through the power of time spent in nature to a generation of young people who face increased barriers to outdoor access, as well as other systemic challenges in their lives.
