Kirk Walter Ford, 63, of Peoria, passed away at 9:13pm Friday, April 9, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born December 24, 1957 in Peoria to the late Ralph W. and Patricia E. Blust Ford. He married his high school sweetheart, Jeanne Shirk in 1984 in East Peoria. Surviving is his wife, Jeanne of Peoria; their children, Kyle Ford (Corinne Aberle) of Coral Gables, FL and Leah (Mark) Maroon of Milford, OH; two grandchildren, Evangeline Maroon and Emilie Ford; and his sisters, Patti (Don) Abel and Beth (Jeff) Millard. Kirk graduated from Bradley in 1984. That year, he became the first employee of Bremer Jewelry, still working there as a goldsmith after 36 years. Kirk was the ultimate husband, dad, and grandpa. He loved spending time with his family and was very active in coaching both his kids in Peoria youth Hockey and PGSL. He had a passion for golf and loved playing in the "What Else" League and always managed to have fun on the course. He admired German cars, especially his Little Car- a BMW M3. He loved the Chicago Blackhawks and the Cubs and was also known to enjoy a Busch beer every so often. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family. Inurnment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
