Obituary Kim McMurtry, 46, of Morton passed away at 1:38 PM Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Peoria County. Born on September 30, 1968 in Peoria to Ollen and Imogene Tharp Janes, she married Tony "Moose" McMurtryon June 10, 1995 in Morton. Surviving are her son, Kyle McMurtry of Morton; sister, Patty Janes of East Peoria; nephew, Ryan Janes of East Peoria; Goddaughter, Emily Shallenberger; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Tommy. Kim was an Administrative Assistant for PepsiCo for over 15 years. She loved playing Bunko, Antiquing, and hanging out with her family and friends at the Country Saloon in East Peoria. Kim had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed being on two wheels on the open road. She could put a smile on anyone's face and had a heart of gold. Her sock monkey collection and her love for antiques were just a part of what made Kim unique. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. A Funeral Service will be at 1 PM Friday, July 3, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Following the service on Friday, there will be a procession led by motorcycles to the Guede Farm in Morton for family and friends to gather for food and fellowship to celebrate Kim's life. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
