Kevin David Scott, 26, of Peoria, formerly of Washington, passed away on July 1, 2023 in Washington.

He was born April 11, 1997 in Peoria to Robert C. and Julie N. Scott.

Surviving are his parents of Henderson, NV; sister, Abigail (Corey Beirne) Scott of Bloomington; two brothers, Adam Scott of Peoria, Brian Scott of Reno, NV; nibling, Maddie Beirne; and nephew, Samuel Beirne.

Kevin was a starting linebacker on Washington Community High School's 2013 undefeated regular season team, and in 2014 his teammates voted him most inspirational. He was a renaissance man: he was trained in sound recording, worked on music video sound sets, could instinctively fix a bicycle, and played guitar beautifully.  The world is now a little less bright.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm Friday, July 7th at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  A memorial service will follow at 7:30pm at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Goodell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a mental health awareness charity of the donor's choice.
