Obituary
PEORIA - Kenneth Way Mills, born on August 27, 1941 in Peoria, IL, passed away on May 3, 2007 at his home in Tucson, AZ, after a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Madora Broughton Mills, his daughters; Leslie (Todd) Tronson and Stacey (Mike) Weerasinghe, 1 grandson, Mills Lucas Weerasinghe, and an abundance of extended family and lifelong friends.
Ken was a 1959 graduate of Woodruff High School, as well as a graduate of Bradley University and Pepperdine University. He was a 43 year employee of Rain Bird Corporation and the Immediate Past President of The Irrigation Association. In addition to his educational and professional successes, he was an avid golfer and fly fisherman.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Sunnyland Christian Church, 2401 Washington Rd., Washington. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services from 10-11 am at the church. The Rev. Kathryn Frus will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. A memorial service was held in Tucson earlier this week. Deiters Funeral Home in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
