Kenneth G. "Zeke" McCormick, 92, of Washington, passed away at 9:05am Friday, March 10, 2023 at his home.

He was born May 4, 1930 in Rutland to the late Claude L. and Leva M. Probus McCormick. He married the love of his life, Shirley J.  Oliver, on October 13, 1951 in Washburn. She preceded him in death on January 15, 2023.

Surviving are their six children, Sheila (Michael) Taylor, Sherry (Joe) Hart, Cindy LaFollett, Kathryn Robinson, Tom McCormick, Kris (Jeff) Fuerst; 18 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

Zeke was an Army veteran, serving during Korea. He went to work at R.G. LeTourneau (later Komatsu), retiring after 43 years of service. He took great pride in maintaining his yard and enjoyed time spent vacationing at the Lake of the Ozarks and winters in Florida. He never knew a stranger. He loved spending time with family, especially Sunday get-togethers at their pool with all the kids and grandkids. He was the patriarch, leader, and provider who leaves a wonderful legacy behind.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Military honors will begin at 1:30pm at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
