Kenneth E Fitzpatrick, 75, of Washington, passed away at 1:00am, Friday, October 7, 2022 at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria.

He was born May 20, 1947 in Canton to the late Elmer E. and Elnora M. Eslinger Fitzpatrick. He married Elizabeth Stickelmaier on April 6, 1974 in Chillicothe.

Surviving is his wife, Beth; their sons, Michael and Craig (Katrina) Fitzpatrick.

He was also preceded in death by his two sisters.

Kenneth was a proud member of the class of 1965 at Farmington High School.  Kenneth graduated from Bradley University with a degree in civil engineering and was a licensed professional engineer. He served in the US Army from 1970-1972. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to work for the Illinois Department of Transportation, retiring in 2012. Kenneth was very bright; he loved to read science fiction, play Words with Friends and watch Jeopardy. He enjoyed bowling, cheering for the Chicago Cubs, collecting John Deere models, and immaculately keeping his yard.

Family will receive friends from 3-5:30pm Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be a brief prayer service with military honors at 5:30pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton on a later date.
