Obituary

Keith Allen Park "Skeeter", 90, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Keith was born on September 20, 1935, in Peoria, IL, an only child to Glenn and Kathleen "Kate" (Beimfohr) Park. He married Charlotte Beckert in 1956 and together they had 6 children. He married Bonnie (Grant) Weber in 1984; she passed away in 2019.

He is survived by his 6 children, Stephen (Lorrie) Park of Parrish, FL; Laurie Royer; Janet Bushell of Mesa, AZ; Susan Osborne (Mike Cinnamon); Bradley Park (Karen Maurer) of Boerne, TX; Barbara (Paul) Henss of New Baden, IL; 19 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Keith served his country as a proud member of the United States Naval Reserves. He also served his community as a USPS Mail Carrier and a City of Peoria Fire Fighter, retiring as a Captain. Dad was very proud of his service as a Peoria Fire Fighter. He was president of the Retirees Association for many years. He continued the many relationships that developed from his career until he left us.

Keith loved collecting antiques, especially old western memorabilia, like the Lone Ranger. He also had an impressive collection of old toy trains and Pyrex. Keith hated to love golf. When he could no longer play, he watched it on TV until his last days, and he was also a loyal Jeopardy fan.

Keith was an active member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria.

Above all, Keith treasured his family, especially his 6 children who brought him immeasurable joy. They take comfort in knowing that their beloved father is now in the presence of God the Father, rejoicing in his eternal home.
