Karen "Sue" Mitchell, 66, of Washington passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Washington

Senior Living.

She was born on June 24, 1957 in Peoria to the late June Lorraine (Huntley) and Thomas Merrill

Mitchell.

She is survived by her 5 siblings, Terry (the late Charles) Chandler, Golda (the late John)

Beckett, Thomas (Toni) Mitchell II, Lorie Mitchell, and Dennis "Boomer" Mitchell; and several nieces and

nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Sue retired from Bradley University after 30 years of service. She loved playing bingo in her

spare time. Sue was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was known to enjoy the music of Elvis and

Bob Seger. She took great pleasure in spoiling her many nieces and nephews. She will be

dearly missed.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 4pm - 6pm at Deiters Funeral Home and

Crematory in Washington. Cremation rites will be accorded and inurnment will take place at

Glendale Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
