Obituary Julia A. Matheny, 39, of East Peoria, IL died at 6:57 am Sunday, June 20, 2010 at her home. Born on November 15, 1970 in Peoria, IL to Brian J. and Patricia L. Weinandy Bour, she married Stephen G. Matheny on July 11, 1998 in Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Claire E. Matheny and Emily A. Matheny, both at home, 1 stepson, Caleb C. Matheny of Madison, WI, her parents, Brian and Patricia Bour of Bowling Green, KY, 1 brother, Michael B. (Holly R.) Bour of Washington, IL, and 1 sister, Jennifer L. Bour (Ryan P. Murphy, fianc ) of Bowling Green, KY. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Julia earned a Masters Degree in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. She was a School Psychologist in the Tri-County area for 14 years, working for the last 4 years at Peoria School District #150. A children's visitation for friends of Claire and Emily, will be from 2:30-3:00 pm Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria, where a time of remembrance for the children will begin at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. A celebration of Julia's life will be at 11 am Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Pastor Greg Grindinger will officiate. Additional visitation will be from 10:30 - 11:00 am Thursday at the church. A private burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
