Obituary Juanita Mae Smick, 80, of Washington, IL, died at 3:39 am Monday, August 13, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Born on November 20, 1931 in Quincy, IL to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, she married Roger Lee Smick on April 17, 1949 in Quincy, IL. He survives. Also surviving are 5 children, Eugene L. (Cindy) Smick of East Peoria, IL, Arleen K. (Lenard) Smith of Washington, IL, Jacqueline V. (Richard) Whitby of Washington, IL, Rory J. (Kimberly) Smick of Washington, IL, and Calvin L. Smick of Sunnyland, IL, 1 sister, Bonnie (Robert) Skaggs of Sunnyland, IL, 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Scott, her step-father, Theodore Scott, 2 daughters, Pamela Kay Smick and Bonnie Jean Smick, and 1 brother, Jack Thomas. Juanita enjoyed being a homemaker and was an avid bowler and bingo player. She also enjoyed a good game of bocce ball and family poker parties. Cremation rites will be accorded and a private graveside service will be held at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Pastor Rick Brisbin will officiate. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
