Obituary EAST PEORIA- Juanita J. Grigsby, 81, of East Peoria, IL died at 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL. Juanita was born May 30, 1929 in Princeville, IL to Joseph and Nettie Short Keltz. She married Leo F. Grigsby on September 7, 1948 in Princeville, IL. He survives. Also surviving are two children, daughter Kathryn (Herb) Ayres and son Steven J. (Sherrie) Grigsby, both of Washington, IL, four grandchildren, Keith (Sara) McMillian, Michelle (Patrick) Crumrine, Colleen (Luke) Ehrgott and Joseph (Lana) Grigsby, four great-grandchildren, Alyssa Crumrine, Brett Crumrine, Maycee Ehrgott and Madden Ehrgott. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Sherri and one great-granddaughter Mary Elizabeth. After attending Brown's College of Business and in addition to being a homemaker, Juanita worked as a secretary at Caterpillar Tractor Co. in East Peoria, IL and as a buyer for Couch & Heyle Mill Supply House in East Peoria, IL for many years. She was also a diehard St. Louis Cardinals and Bradley basketball fan. Juanita was of the Catholic faith. A funeral service will be at 1pm Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria, IL and a visitation will be held from 11 am-1pm Saturday at the funeral home, Rev. Bob DeBolt will officiate. Interment will follow at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria, IL. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
