Joshua "Josh" Curtis, 39, of Urbana, formerly of Pekin, passed away at 2:14 am Saturday, January 15, 2022 at OSF Sacred Heart Hospital in Danville.

He was born August 23, 1982 in Peoria to Richard L. and Jody L. Carroll Curtis.

Surviving are his mother, Jody Curtis; sister, Amber (William) Edwards; grandmother, Gayle Deynzer; uncle, Tony Deynzer; girlfriend, Niccole Swider; and his four legged companion, Koda.  He was preceded in death by his father; and grandfathers.

Josh graduated from Pekin Community High School where he was involved in the wrestling program.  He worked at Central Illinois Scale as a technician.

Josh's funeral service will be at 11am Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  Visitation will be one hour before services from 10 to 11am at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pekin Community High School Wrestling Boosters, or TAPS No Kill Animal Shelter in Pekin.
