Obituary PEORIAa"Josephine L. Elam-Saylor, 78, of Peoria, died at 12:45 AM on Monday, November 17, 2008 at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria. Born on March 18, 1930 in Peoria to Joseph and Jessie Mae Beal Goble, she married Edward Elam in 1947 in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1987. She later married Elwood "Skip" Saylor in 1990 in Morton. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2001. Surviving are 3 children, Clarann (Tom) Krueger of Kansas City, KS, Edward (Patti) Elam of Overland Park, KS, and Terry (Melody) Elam of East Peoria; 2 sisters, Margaret Worrick of Peoria and Edna Savage of Florida; 2 brothers, Jim Ferguson of Marquette Heights and Jerry Knickerbocker of Metamora; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Josephine was preceded in death by 2 children, 4 sisters and 1 brother. Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment of cremated remains will be private at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
