Obituary

Johnny Clutters, 37, of Washington, passed away at 9:37 am Thursday, September 1, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria surrounded by his family.

He was born in Peoria, IL on August 8, 1985 to Rick and Janet Argo Clutters.

Surviving are his mother, Janet Clutters and step-father Mack Monroe; brother, Rick (Adrienne) Clutters; sister, Stephanie (Daniel) Thompson; niece and nephew, Kaylee and Kamden Thompson; significant other, Lacey Lake; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Rick; and grandparents, Peter and Nancy Argo.

Johnny worked at Parsons Manufacturing for several years and enjoyed his job and the relationships he made with his co-workers.

He was an avid sports fan, especially the Miami Dolphins and St. Louis Cardinals.  He loved playing football and made forever bonds with his teammates. He was also a state wrestler in high school. He was known for his sense of humor, compassion, quick wit, and his free spirit. He never knew a stranger and made everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world. Wherever he went, he lit up the room. He loved the simple things in life and loved being with his family and friends.  He will be dearly missed by all.

Cremation has been accorded.  A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 6pm Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to help cover medical expenses and are appreciated.
