John "Johnny" Todd, 57, of Washington, IL passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Johnny was born on October 1, 1963 in Chicago Heights, IL to the late John F. and Margaret M. Moeller Todd. He was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen Mary (Don) Schroth.
Johnny was devoted to his family and the caregiver for his mother. Always thoughtful and generous, he moved with her from Wisconsin to Washington, IL when she needed specialty care. Johnny was always willing to help whether it was generously offering his truck for a move, using his carpentry skills to build shelves, or constructing an emergency bridge after a flood before an outdoor wedding. He loved supporting family at their lacrosse, soccer, band, graduations and other milestone events. Gatherings often found him quietly enjoying a conversation, thoughtfully asking how you were doing, and offering honest and kind advice when needed.
