Obituary
WASHINGTON - John "Jack" Roser, Jr., 61, of Washington, IL died at 7:55 am Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL.
Born on November 28, 1948 in Peoria, IL to John R. and Cordelia "Lois" Raistrick Roser, Sr., he married Ginger Bechtel on April 19, 1969 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Peoria; 2 daughters, Tammy (Joel) Lyons of Washington, Laurie (Jeremy) Hall of East Peoria; 1 sister, Becky (Rick) Robinson of Memphis, TN; 2 brothers, Roger (Debbie) Roser of Muscatine, IA, Tom Roser of Chicago, IL; 4 grandchildren, Stephen (Amber), Samantha, John David, Maya; 2 great-grandchildren, Lexi, Payton, and lots of loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Docia "Nan" Roser.
Jack was a US Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
During his 45 year career in the grocery business, Jack spent 38 years with John Bee Grocery Stores in Peoria and Dunlap.
Jack took great pride in his home and loved his family and friends, showing it through his unique humor.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, September 17, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor John Rothfusz will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
