Obituary EAST PEORIAa"John L. Patroff, 59, of East Peoria, died at 11:58 AM on Monday, December 18, 2006 at his residence. He was born on October 2, 1947, in Peoria, IL to John F. and Elaine Lyman Patroff. Surviving is his father, John F. Patroff of Lowry City, MO; 1 son, John (Dee) Patroff of Peoria; 2 sisters, Mary Sue (Lloyd) Schwarz of Gilson, IL, and Kathy (Bob) Lee of Lowry City, MO; 1 brother, Frank Patroff of Peoria; 1 grandson, John Gail Patroff of Peoria; several nieces and nephews; Uncle Jim (Teri) of East Peoria, and a companion, Janelle Hensley and her 2 sons, Justin and Jeff, all of East Peoria. He was preceded in death by his mother. John was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked for the City of East Peoria, and was a Union Steward with the Local Teamsters #627. John was a member of the Kennel Lake Fishing Club, and was a blood donor for the American Red Cross. A funeral service will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Dr. Ritch Boerckel will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
