Obituary East Peoria - John O. Corbett, 55, of East Peoria died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 8:47 PM at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born October 23, 1956 in Chicago to Edward J. and Sylvia J. von Meeteren Corbett. They survive and reside in East Peoria. Also surviving are three brothers, James Corbett of East Peoria, Joseph (Cheri) Corbett of Casper, WY, and Jerry Corbett of East Peoria; three sisters, Joanne (Sharon Aycock) Corbett of East Peoria, Judy (David) Sharp of Sparland, IL, and Jan Corbett of East Peoria; his best friend and companion, Jan Newton, who shared his home in East Peoria; one daughter, Emma (Aaron) Dalbey of Albuquerque, NM; two nephews, Aaron (Linda) Taylor of Pekin, IL, and Cameron (Aubrey) Corbett of Casper, WY; two nieces, Kayleigh and Kyree Corbett of Casper, WY; and a very special great niece, Rebecca Taylor of Pekin, whom he adored. She will miss her Uncle Pie. John managed Grandview Mobile Home Park in East Peoria for 20 years. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria. John loved his family, enjoyed playing his saxophone, and always listened to the blues. Father Kenneth L. Marchulones will officiate the memorial mass on Monday February 13, 2012 at 3:00 PM at St. Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria. In lieu of visitation, the family will receive visitors following the memorial mass from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the home of Edward and Sylvia Corbett in East Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded.
