Obituary John B. Bradford, 70, of Murray, KY, passed away at 12:10 pm Monday, May 1, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born March 14, 1947 in Chicago to Bernice and Callie Smothers Bradford. He married Mary Gross in South Carolina on November 27, 1965. She survives. Also surviving are three children, Robert (and Ann Ghiotto) Bradford of Decatur, IL, David (and Melissa Fedora) Bradford of Mokena, IL, Denise (and Robert Martin II) of North Pekin, IL; and four grandchildren, James, Emily, Ryan and Fox Bradford. He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Jacob and Brennan Bradford; two brothers, Robert and Bruce; and his sister, Betty Bonacci. John was a United States Navy Veteran and was very proud that he was able to serve his country. He retired from Alcon Corporation as a field service technician. He was an avid Cubs fan, enjoyed fishing, playing golf and spending time at the lake with his family. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a graveside service at 2 pm on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery in Oak Lawn, IL. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria, IL is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Murray First United Methodist Church in Murray, KY.
