Obituary WASHINGTON-Joe Knowles, 47, of Washington, IL, died at 9:04 pm Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at his home. Born on September 28, 1963 in Peoria, IL to Asa and Joan King Knowles, he married Rita Abbott on April 1, 1992 in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are his mother of Deer Creek, IL; 2 sisters Lois Knowles of Deer Creek and Diana (Stew) Becker of Cape Canaveral, FL; 1 niece, Sarah Rose Becker of New Zealand and 1 nephew, Zach Knowles of Peoria Heights, IL. Joe worked at T & J Tire Co. in Washington for over 20 years. He also worked at WICC in Washington. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday, December 17, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation.
