Joann Mae Parr, 92, of East Peoria, passed away at 8:20am Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Serenity Assisted Living in East Peoria.

She was born December 2, 1929 in Astoria Illinois to the late Branchford Bair and Vera Hilda (Nolan) Bair. She married Gerald L. Parr, Sr. on the 21 ^st day of April 1946 in Astoria Illinois; he preceded her in death in 1993.

Surviving are her children, Sherri (Rick) Quick, Jerry (Virginia) Parr, and Carol Jo Parr (Lia Vines); grandchildren, Jerad Ballard, Blake Ballard, Justin Parr, Elisavett Parr, and Alexander Wallace; and great-grandchildren, Joci Ballard, DeAnna Parr, and Judah Acevedo.

She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Norma Jean and Paulina.

Joann had the best sense of humor and could always be counted on for a laugh. She loved all her grandchildren, supporting them in all their activities and spending time with them. She enjoyed bowling, visiting the boat, and was a lifelong Cubs superfan. More recently, she attended East Peoria Mennonite Church and enjoyed being able to serve with them.

A funeral service for Joann will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be from 11:30am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
