Obituary Washington - Joan M. Donithan, 75, of Washington, passed away at 11:44am, Saturday, September 13, 2014 at her home. Joan was born August 23, 1939 in Crown Point, Indiana to Herbert and Irene Williams Hull. She married Roy Donithan March 20, 1959 in Valparaiso, Indiana; he preceded her in death on October 24, 1979. Surviving are their children, Judi Johnson of Peoria, Russell Donithan of Washington, and Elizabeth (Mike) Weidner of Springfield; six grandchildren, Robert, Ryan, Ruth, Zane, Samuel, and Sawyer; one great-granddaughter, Penn; brother, Ronnie Hull of Valparaiso, IN; two sisters, Mary Ann (Bob) Granzow of Valparaiso, IN, and Bonnie (Tom) Troe of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Larry, Danny, and Kenny Hull. Joan worked at Community Care in Pekin for over 20 years, and prior to that was a stay at home mom. Above all, she loved her children and her family. A memorial service for Joan will be held at 3:00pm, Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Pastor Howard Love will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to Illinois Cancer Care Center in Peoria.
