Obituary Joan S. Donahue, 67, of Washington, IL, died at 1:47 pm Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Richard L. Owen Hospice Home in Peoria. Born on May 24, 1947 in Peoria, IL to Ellis L. and Lorna W. Schuelke Fritch, she married David H. Donahue on March 9, 1974 in Peoria. He survives. Also surviving are 1 daughter, Lorna Donahue of Washington, IL. Joan was a graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago and a homemaker for 40 years. She loved her plants, her horses, and her little dog, Gus. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton, IL. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday, June 20, 2014 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. A graveside service will be at 1 pm Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria, with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church.
