Obituary Jo Ann Woods, 80, of Washington, IL passed away at 2:38 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at her home with her family at her side. She was born July 16, 1934 in Peoria, IL to Charles and Ethel Farden Bayer. She married Claude D. "Woody" Woods in Peoria on July 18, 1953. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra Lavaux; and two grandchildren, Branden and Cameron Lavaux. Surviving are three children, Scott Woods of Washington, Tim (Karen) Woods of Decatur, Terry (Gordon) Short of Washington; six grandchildren, Scott (Kate) Woods II, Michael (Jaclyn) Woods, Carey (Max) Boelter, Sean Woods, Austin Woods, Megan Woods; six great-grandchildren, Graeme, Koen, Skyeler, Lilly, Chloe, Mia; sister, Joyce Knickerbocker of Metamora; and brother, Jim (Barb) Bayer of Washburn. Jo Ann worked in accounts payable at Caterpillar for 35 years. She enjoyed bowling, bunko, bingo, and socializing with her family and many friends. She was of the Lutheran faith. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Methodist Hospice. Jo Ann's funeral service will be at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at Noon on Saturday. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
