Obituary
EAST PEORIA- Jerry Ann Taylor, 88, of East Peoria, passed away Sunday October 5, 2014 at 10:02AM at her residence.
Jerry Ann was born February 5, 1926 in Browerville, MN to Robert and Fern Voelk Plotnick. She married Raymond Taylor on February 3, 1945 in Mystic, IA. He survives.
Also surviving is her daughter, Raylene Baker (William Stapleton) of East Peoria; three granddaughters, Farrah (Chuck) Bahnfleth, Brittani (Mark) Hilton, and Wendy (Tony) Reay, all of East Peoria; one grandson, Brian (Michelle) Schyler of Minneapolis, MN; and 10 great-grandchildren, Bryce, Blaze, Tyler, Skylar, Samantha, Faith, Oliver, Oscar, Donnie and Austin.
Jerry Ann was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jeffrey Taylor; and one sister, Betty Ponsetto; and one grandson, Troy Schyler.
She graduated high school in Mystic, IA. For 42 years, she worked as a self-employed tax consultant.
She was a member of Sunnyland Christian Church. She was also a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals and the National Society of Tax Professionals.
Jerry Ann loved to cook and entertain for family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
A funeral service for Jerry Ann will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:00AM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Zach Hoffman will officiate. Interment will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
