Obituary CREVE COEURa"Jerry D. Sullins, 50, of Creve Coeur, died at 2:34 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2007, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on June 3, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Jerry A. and Hazel Josephine Halfacre Sullins, he married Marnie Karmin Kirtley on February 9, 2001 in Pekin. She survives. Also surviving is one daughter, Nicole (Michael) Chenoweth of East Peoria; his parents, Jerry A. (Hazel) Sullins of Bartonville; 2 grandchildren, Kaeli and Ian; his beloved dog, Peanut; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Jerry worked as an MRO Buyer for CNH Global, formerly OMI, in Goodfield, IL and he had also managed VOP's in Peoria and Alexander Steakhouse in Springfield. He attended Bethany Baptist Church in Peoria. Jerry enjoyed drag racing, collecting and watching NASCAR, and going to Bradley Basketball games with his dad. He loved his family and was devoted to them and his friends, spending time with them and helping others. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 8, 2007, at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Dr. Ritch Boerckel will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
