Obituary WASHINGTONa"Jeremy T. Wallis, 37, of Washington, died at 8:37 AM on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He was born to Samuel D. and Patricia Reed Wallis on August 9, 1969 in Peoria, IL. Surviving are 1 daughter, Samantha T. Wallis of East Peoria, IL; his mother, Pat (Rocko) Chumley-Reed of East Peoria, IL; his father, Sam (Barb) Wallis of Washington; 2 sisters, Jennifer (Daren) Drake of Paw Paw, MI and Pam (Roger) Miller of Washington, IL; 1 brother, Steve (Amy) Nofsinger of Bartonville, IL; his grandfather, Herman Dickey of Peoria; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margie Dickey, Guy and Hildreth Wallis, Dale and Margaret Small, and Herald "Dink" Chumley. He worked for Allied Handling and Equipment in Peoria as a field service representative for the past 2 months, and had worked for Wiese Planning and Engineering in East Peoria for 11 years. He was a 1987 graduate of Washington Community High School, where he was proud to be part of the 1985 State Championship Football Team. Jeremy was an avid motorcycle and racing enthusiast and still holds the state record for sanctioned drug-free dead lift and squat in weightlifting. His family invites you to join them in a celebration of Jeremy's life at 4 PM on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. The Rev. Carol Lakota Eastin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1-4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded.
