Jeremy D. Howe, 43, of Glen Carbon and Peoria, Illinois, passed away at 9:01 p.m. on Monday, May 29, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, surrounded by family.

He is survived by his wife, Abbey, and children Sedona, Sebastian, Genevieve, and Augustine; his parents, Rick Howe of Altamont and Glenda Hockman Howe of Alabama; his brother, Joshua (Shauna) Howe of

Pekin; and his extended family.

Jeremy was born on February 9, 1980, in Peoria, Illinois, to Rick and Glenda Howe. From an early age, he knew he wanted to be a father. With the birth of his first child, Sedona, his desire to have a big family grew. And when his second child, Sebastian, was born 4 years later, Jeremy was on his way to accomplishing his biggest dream. On November 27, 2010, he married the love of his life, Abbey, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They renewed their vows on April 15, 2017, when Jeremy entered the Catholic Church.

Educated at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Jeremy received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology/Technician. This set him on his path of excellence, and over the years he worked his way up into leadership and management for Caterpillar and Amazon. Jeremy was always on a journey of self-improvement and growth. His tireless work ethic was surpassed only by his passion and love for his family.

Professional accomplishments aside, Jeremy was most proud of his 'work' as a father. Sedona, Sebastian, Genevieve and Auggie were his greatest treasures. Jeremy's purpose and north star was his faith and his family. The tapestry of religious tattoos and the names of his children which adorned his arms where a visual testament to this truth.

His family will miss him deeply but they know he will continue to love, protect and guide them until they are all united together again in heaven. They look forward to that day with great expectation.

Jeremy's Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2023, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Peoria. Fr. John Tonkin will officiate. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Metamora.
