Jennifer A. Brown, 79, of Washington, passed away at 11:50am Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at UnityPoint Methodist in Peoria.

She was born in Bombay, India on November 4, 1942 to the late Edward Henry Lumsden Crothers and Edna Mona Chase.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rosalind; grandson, Cameron; and daughter-in-law, Irene.

Surviving are four children, Paul (Judy) Havy, Greta (Bob) Belsly, Steve Havy, Monique (Wally) Higginbotham; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Jennifer was a veteran of the British Navy.  She was a ballroom dance instructor for many years.  She owned and operated the Brown School of Modeling in Washington, IL and Mrs. Mops Cleaning Company in South Carolina.  She also was the founder of the Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine in Bluffton, South Carolina in 2011. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family.  She will be dearly missed.

Cremation has been accorded.  A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
