Obituary BARTONVILLEa"Jennie M. Lankford, 82, of Bartonville, died at 3:50 PM on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Morton Terrace Care Center. She was born September 23, 1924 in Innisfail, Alberta Canada to Artemus and Jesse Champion McKay. She married William C. Lankford on July 27, 1957 in Kansas City, KS. They had been married 49 years 10 months 1 week and 4 days. He survives, as does her daughter, Marilyn (Loy) Cletcher of Bartonville; 2 grandsons, Everett (Stacey) Cletcher of Peoria and Matthew (Kathy) Cletcher of Bartonville, as well as one great granddaughter, Lexie Cletcher and 4 great grandsons, Caleb Cletcher, Mark Frey, and Jake and Taylor Fletcher. She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. She was a homemaker, having formerly worked as head bookkeeper-cashier at Bishop Buffet. Jennie was a member of Dayton Avenue Baptist Church, strong in her faith and had served as nursery worker, Sunday school teacher, and for many years as chairperson of the kitchen-hospitality committee. During her tenure, she modernized the kitchen and dining facilities. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Dayton Avenue Baptist Church. The Rev. James Richardson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, June 11, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
