Obituary PEORIAa"Jenette E. Phillips, 55, of Peoria, died at 8:10 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. She was born on January 19, 1953 in Des Moines, IA to Dorothy Clayton. Jenette was a dedicated wife of 32 years to the Rev. Jim L. Phillips, counselor. She was a mother of 5, a grandmother of 7, and a friend to all she met. Surviving are her husband, Rev. Jim L. Phillips of Peoria; 1 son, Joseph R. (Shari) Phillips of Germantown Hills; 4 daughters, Stephanie M. (John Condon) Trickey of Brooklyn, NY; Amie T. (Mark) Rogers of Spring Hill, TN, Sarah E. (Chuck) Lormis of Bloomington, IL, and Rachel A. Godinez of Peoria, IL; and 7 grandchildren, Parker, Lucas, Hunter, Jadon, Madeline, Asher and Jacob. Jenette was a Registered Nurse, working at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria in the neurology, and with her husband as part of their counseling ministry. She was a member of Bradley Epworth United Methodist Church in Peoria. Jenette was a woman of character that loved Jesus Christ and served Him for her entire life. She was a person of quiet nature that cared for those she served. She will be missed by all. A funeral service will be held at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at First United Methodist Church, 116 NE Perry Avenue, Peoria, IL. The Rev. Tom Eckhardt will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3-6:30 PM on Tuesday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
