Jeffrey W. Session, Sr. 62, of Spring Bay, passed away at 10:45am Monday, May 13, 2024, at St. Anthony's Rehab Center in Rock Island.

Jeff was born February 7, 1962, in Springfield at St. John's Hospital, to Stevie J. and Shirley L. Troxell Session, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children, daughter, Christine M. (Daniel) Leach of Herculaneum, MO and son, Jeffrey W. (Gini) Session, Jr. of High Point, NC; grandchildren, Chloe, Noah, Holden, Ethan, Hailey, and Charlotte Leach; Freddy, Ashley, Charlie, EmiLee, Stevie, Maddisin, Archie and Violet Session; and his sister, Lisa A. (Anthony) Ellis of Antioch, TN; nephew Benjamin Colt (Tiffani) Ellis and great niece, Audrey Marie Ellis.

Jeff attended Riverview Grade School and Averyville Christian Academy.  After high school, Jeff worked as a Deputy at the Eureka County Jail for several years.  Jeff then obtained his CDL license and did cross country driving for Fort Transfer and Star Transportation for years.  When Jeff retired from the road, he worked in the cash office at the Par-A-Dice Casino.

In his younger years, Jeff liked to participate in history re-enactments and ride his motorcycle. Jeff usually had a dog by his side.  He even had one he trained to ride with him in his semi.

Cremation rites have been accorded to Jeff's wishes. The family will hold a private memorial service at a future date.
