Obituary Jeffrey S. Mountz, 53, of Washington, passed away at 4:20am Saturday, July 2, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Jeff was born April 26, 1963 in Peoria, to Herbert Eugene and Janice Rowena Silvest Mountz. He married Stacey Jett on April 14, 2000 in Las Vegas, NV. Surviving is his wife, Stacey; his children, Ryan (Malissa) Mountz, Cole Mountz, Bryce Mountz, Ethan Mountz, and Olivia Mountz; granddaughter, Arie; sister, Joy (John) Snyder; parents-in-law, Debbie McKeown and John Jett sister-in-law, Tracey (Larry) Hudson; brother-in-law, Aaron (Leslie) Jett; and nieces and nephews, Amy Snyder; Alex, Jacob, and Natalie Hudson; and Iann Jett. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jeff earned his Bachelor's degree from Eureka College. He worked as a salon product sales rep for 36 years, a career he enjoyed very much. Jeff was also a passionate sports fan. He liked to watch any college sport and loved cheering on his Cubbies; he endured as a lifelong, dedicated fan. But he was an even bigger fan of his kids, watching and enjoying whatever activity they were involved in. He would do anything he could to help someone out, even if it was just to share his great sense of humor with them. Above all else, Jeff loved his family, especially his kids and his wife, and he was a faithful Christian. Jeff was a hopeless romantic and made his love known in little ways each and every day. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him A memorial service for Jeff will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for a trust fund to be established for Jeff's children.
